Taiwanese startups expand into Japan via III-led G Camp program

The Institute for Information Industry (III) led a delegation of 14 Taiwanese technology startups to Kyushu, Japan, to participate in the Ramen Tech exhibition. The initiative, part of the G Camp program commissioned by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs, aims to accelerate the entry of Taiwanese companies into the Japanese market across sectors including artificial intelligence, smart healthcare, green technology, and smart manufacturing.

Several key partnerships were established during the visit. CancerFree Biotech and Avalanche Computing announced a six-month Proof of Concept (PoC) collaboration with Kyushu University Hospital f-labs to validate an AI-driven smart laboratory system. Additionally, the edge AI startup DeCloak Intelligences signed a memorandum of understanding and a distribution agreement with Japan's Heisei Technology, moving into the actual procurement phase.

Furthermore, the startup Moldintel entered discussions with a major Japanese global corporation, confirming plans to co-exhibit at a large-scale plastic injection molding exhibition in late 2026. The program also facilitated visits to various Japanese financial and entrepreneurial support organizations to strengthen the connection between the Taiwanese startup ecosystem and Japanese industrial networks.
