Taiwanese tech sector sees growth opportunities in AI supply chain

QIC International has released its ‘QIC AI 500’ list, identifying 500 companies positioned to benefit from the global artificial intelligence expansion. The report predicts that the total market value of these companies could grow from $488 billion currently to approximately $2.7 trillion by 2030, representing a 5.5-fold increase.

The analysis highlights that while large-cap tech leaders drive demand, significant growth opportunities exist within the supply chain, particularly among small and micro-cap companies. Over 86% of the identified firms fall into the small or micro-cap categories. The impact of AI investment is expected to extend across semiconductors, electronic components, materials, and factory engineering.

In the local equity market, several new stocks are also scheduled for subscription this week. Notable entries include industrial computer manufacturer Dongqing Technology, which offers a potential price spread of approximately 59,710 TWD per lot based on current market estimates. Other upcoming subscriptions include Yong Sheng, Lanxin Information, Chengxi Information, Teliwu, and Hechang Technology.
