Taiwo Awoniyi earns postgraduate diploma in football directorship

Nigerian international striker Taiwo Awoniyi has graduated from the PFA Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship, earning a Merit.

Awoniyi, who recently completed a permanent transfer from Nottingham Forest to Coventry City for approximately £9 million, stated that his studies reflect his belief that being a professional athlete should not preclude further education. He noted that he aims to remain a ‘student of the game’ to prepare for leadership and decision-making roles within professional football after his playing career concludes.

The 29-year-old forward has already begun his tenure with Coventry City in the Premier League, contributing goals and assists in recent appearances. His career includes stints at Liverpool, Union Berlin, and Nottingham Forest, alongside representing the Super Eagles.
