Taiwo Awoniyi Foundation donates football boots to 350 youth players

The Taiwo Awoniyi Foundation has donated football boots to 350 young players participating in the Kwara Kiddies League (KKL) in Nigeria. The initiative, led by Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi, is designed to support grassroots football development and provide essential equipment for youth players in Kwara State.

Bolakale Mogaji, Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, attended the distribution ceremony and praised Awoniyi for his sustained investment in youth sports. Ibrahim Jatto, Chief Operating Officer of the Kwara Kiddies League, noted that the foundation has previously provided playing kits, meals, and cash rewards to the league's more than 500 players.

Awoniyi, a striker for Coventry City, has increased his involvement with the league, becoming a majority shareholder in 2025. The KKL aims to improve player visibility through scouting and analysis platforms to help young talents transition to professional careers.
