Taiwu Township Tourism Service Center construction begins in Pingtung

The Pingtung County Government has officially broken ground on the Taiwu Township Tourism Service Center construction project. The initiative aims to create a new gateway for tourism near Beidawushan, integrating mountain forest travel with indigenous cultural characteristics.

The project focuses on the revitalization of idle buildings, specifically the former Zhongxiao Police Station, to transform them into the ‘3092 Taiwu Township Sasekezan Tourism Service Center’. The development will include new public recreational facilities, a visitor center, public restrooms, and landscape greening.

Funded by the county government with a total budget of NT$40.82 million, the construction is expected to be completed by late September 2027. The center is intended to provide a safe and comfortable rest area for hikers and travelers, while also promoting local economic development and cultural revitalization.
