Taiz officials inspect security fronts following Houthi attack

Dr. Abdulqawi Al-Mikhlafi, the First Undersecretary of the Taiz Governorate, conducted a nighttime field visit to the areas surrounding the Old Airport and Air Defense fronts. The visit aimed to assess the security situation and inspect the conditions of citizens amid ongoing tensions in the province.

Accompanied by local, social, and military leaders, the delegation visited the Al-Hakimi police station and met with community committees in the Al-Thalathin, Al-Damnah, and Al-Noor areas. The officials emphasized the importance of community partnership and security vigilance to protect residential neighborhoods and public property.

These movements follow a violent attack launched by Houthi militias against the Old Airport front. Government forces, supported by the Popular Resistance, reportedly repelled the attack, forcing the attackers to withdraw after sustaining significant losses in personnel and equipment.
