Taj Falaknuma Palace named Hotel of the Year in India
Taj Falaknuma Palace has been named Hotel of the Year in the Tatler Best India 2026 list. Located in Hyderabad, the palace was originally built by Nawab Sir Viqar-ul-Umra and later acquired by the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Mahbub Ali Khan, in 1895.
Following a ten-year restoration, the property was leased to the Taj Hotels group and reopened in 2010. The palace is noted for its European architectural influences, including Italian and English styles, and features the world’s longest permanent dining table, a 108-foot rosewood table in the 101 Dining Hall.
