Takahiro Sekine scored the decisive goal for Sydney FC in their Australia Cup quarter-final victory against SD Raiders. Starting as a left winger, Sekine broke through the defensive line in the 33rd minute to connect with a long ball, scoring with a powerful left-footed volley.

This goal marks Sekine’s second consecutive official match with a goal, following his performance against Brisbane Roar FC. Since joining Sydney FC from Urawa Reds this summer, the 31-year-old has maintained strong form, scoring in three matches including pre-season play.
