Takamino-no-Sato features 1,000 weeping cherry blossoms

In Higashiyoshino Village, Nara Prefecture, the Takamino-no-Sato site features approximately 1,000 weeping cherry blossoms. The area was developed to prevent mountain degradation following the decline of the local forestry industry.

Visitors can access the site via a direct bus from Haibara Station, which requires advance reservations. Once at the location, a shuttle microbus provides transport to the cherry blossom groves. The site includes a scenic viewpoint known as ‘Thousand Year Hill’ (Sennen no Oka), which offers expansive views of the cherry blossoms.
