Takamitsu Sakamoto selected for MvVO ART SHOW 2026 main visual

Photographer and artist Takamitsu Sakamoto has been selected to exhibit at the MvVO ART SHOW 2026, held at the Waldorf Astoria New York from September 21 to 27, 2026. His work, titled ‘AWAKENING’, has been chosen as the official main visual for the exhibition.

The international art show features approximately 35 artists selected from roughly 400 applicants based on quality, concept, and originality. The event is timed to coincide with New York Art Week and the UN General Assembly to introduce new talent to a global audience.

Sakamoto’s piece, ‘AWAKENING’, is a photographic work based on minerals that reconstructs the textures and patterns left by geological time through the layering of light and color. The exhibition will include physical works, digital screens, and an online presence via the Artsy platform. The show offers press previews on September 21 and 22, with public access being free and no reservation required from September 23 to 27.
