Takaoka City residential fire reported with potential spread

A residential fire broke out in the Himazume district of Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, on the morning of September 9, 2026. The fire was reported around 11:40 AM after a resident noticed flames coming from a two-story house.

Local residents reported hearing explosion sounds coming from the building. There are concerns that the fire may have spread to neighboring structures. As of 2:00 PM, firefighting operations were still ongoing, and the fire had not yet been fully extinguished. No injuries have been reported at this time.
