Takara Tomy to launch TOMICA XROSS RESCUE animation and toy series

TOMY Company, Ltd. (Takara Tomy) has announced the launch of ‘TOMICA XROSS RESCUE’, a short animation series featuring rescue-themed stop-motion scenes. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting on the official ‘TAKARATOMY CHANNEL’ YouTube channel on August 26, 2026.

The animation utilizes miniature models, figures, and die-cast Tomica vehicles to depict firefighters and rescue operations. Following a successful launch in mainland China, where the series garnered over 6.2 million views across seven major platforms, the company plans to expand the franchise across Asian markets, including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

Accompanying toy sets, including DX and gift kits, are set to release in Japan on October 1, 2026. Featured products include the ‘XR01 XROSS RESCUE DRAGON’ and the ‘XROSS HOVER’. Pre-orders for the TOMY MALL platform are expected to open on August 27, 2026.
