Takeda facing anti-union ruling from Pisa Court

The Court of Pisa has recognized anti-union behavior by the company Takeda regarding its facility in Pisa, Italy. The ruling follows a period of industrial dispute involving workers and trade unions.

Matteo Trapani, a regional councilor for the PD, described the decision as a victory for workers and labor organizations, specifically citing Filctem CGIL and Nidil CGIL. He noted that the ruling reinforces the principle that the right to strike cannot be conditioned by threats of disproportionate economic consequences.

Despite the legal victory, the labor dispute remains ongoing. The primary focus continues to be the protection of 67 jobs and securing guarantees regarding the future employment stability of the Pisa site.
