Takeoff estate dispute may involve Quavo and Offset as witnesses

Titania Davenport, the mother of the late Migos rapper Takeoff, is seeking to move a legal dispute regarding her son’s estate from Texas to Georgia. The battle is between Davenport and Takeoff’s father, Kenneth Ball, over the distribution of a confidential wrongful death settlement.

Davenport filed a lawsuit in 2023 against the owners of 810 Billiards & Bowling, the venue where Takeoff was fatally shot in November 2022. While the wrongful death case reached a settlement, the division of those funds remains contested. Ball is seeking a substantial portion of the settlement, while Davenport argues that her role as the primary caregiver during Takeoff’s life entitles her to a greater share.

In court filings, Davenport argued that the case should be heard in Fulton County, Georgia, to avoid travel expenses for witnesses. She identified fellow Migos members Quavo and Offset as potential witnesses, noting that they, along with other close associates, reside in the Atlanta and Athens areas of Georgia rather than Texas.
