Takeru Hokazono named to Forbes Japan 30 Under 30 list

Takeru Hokazono, the creator of the manga series Kagurabachi, has been named to Forbes Japan’s 2026 ‘30 Under 30’ list in the Art, Style, and Anime category.

Born in Osaka in 2000, Hokazono achieved this recognition following the rapid success of Kagurabachi, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2023. The series has gained significant international attention and won the 2024 Next Manga Award in the print volume category.

Hokazono’s rise follows earlier recognition in 2020 with the Tezuka Award for his short story Enten. Critics have noted that Kagurabachi distinguishes itself through cinematic action sequences and dynamic visual storytelling, establishing Hokazono as an influential figure in the modern creative industry.
