Takis Papamattheou discusses theater and potential political candidacy

Greek actor Takis Papamattheou discussed his career, personal life, and potential political future in a recent interview with Sasha Stamatis on ‘Parapolitika’. Papamattheou expressed his passion for theater over television, noting that while he receives offers, he does not actively pursue television roles.

Regarding politics, the actor addressed rumors of running as a candidate for Stefanos Kasselakis’s ‘Demokrates’ party. He stated, “Why not?” but noted he needs to consider personal matters first. He also commented on the political landscape, suggesting that voters of the progressive arc should strengthen Kasselakis’s party rather than returning to the party of Alexis Tsipras.

On a personal note, Papamattheou shared that he is currently single and enjoys his own company. He also spoke about his son, actor Iasonas Papamattheou, noting that he provides personal experiences as guidance but allows his son to make his own professional decisions without relying on his father's name.
