Takis Zacharatos to star in dramatic role in ‘Miss Margarita’

Greek impersonator Takis Zacharatos is set to take on a dramatic new role in the play ‘Miss Margarita’ by Roberto Atayde. Directed by Vasilis Myrianthopoulos, the production is scheduled to premiere this October at the Petit Palais Theatre in Pangrati.

Zacharatos, known primarily for his impressions, described the move as an evolution of his career rather than a break from his established style. He noted that he has long felt the urge to explore more dramatic territory. In this production, he will transform into a female character, a role previously performed in Greece by Elli Lambeti.

The performer dedicated the production to the singer Marinella, noting her strong support for his return to the stage. Zacharatos also reflected on his career, discussing how his impersonations have occasionally caused misunderstandings with others and expressing his commitment to artistic freedom.
