Takopi’s Original Sin anime film set for November 2026 release

The anime adaptation of ‘Takopi’s Original Sin’ will receive a compilation film titled ‘Takopi’s Original Sin: Thank You, See You Tomorrow’. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on November 27, 2026.

Produced by Studio ENISHIYA and directed by Shinya Iino, the movie will summarize the six episodes of the original TV anime while incorporating new scenes not previously seen in the series. The story follows Takopi, an alien from the ‘Happy Planet’ who travels to Earth to spread happiness, only to encounter Shizuka, a young girl facing severe bullying and domestic difficulties.

The original manga by Taizan5 was published via Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app in 2021. While the TV series is available on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll, international theatrical release dates for the film remain unannounced.
