Taşköprü releases AI-assisted short film on local history

The Taşköprü Municipality has released a 14-minute short film titled ‘7 Kemerli Bir Zaman Geçidi: Taşköprü’ on YouTube. The production uses artificial intelligence to reconstruct the history and cultural memory of the Taşköprü district, moving beyond traditional promotional content to explore themes of time and civilization.

The project was produced by Muazzam İşler and producer Zeynep Kahreman, with a script written by archaeologist Dr. Murat Karasalihoğlu. The six-month production process focused on integrating AI into creative storytelling to present the district's heritage through a cinematic lens.

The film has received international recognition, including an official nomination at the Korea AI Contents Film Festival, an honorary award at the AI Film Awards in Cannes, and a finalist position at the AI London Film Festival. In Turkey, it was one of the ten finalists in the National AI Film Competition at the 33rd International Adana Golden Koza Film Festival.
