Taksebt Dam pipeline damaged by landslide in Boudouaou

A major water pipeline connecting the Taksebt Dam to Algiers has been damaged due to a landslide in Boudouaou, affecting water supplies in parts of the Boumerdès and Algiers provinces.

Algeria’s Minister of Hydraulics, Lounes Bouzegza, inspected the site at Draâ Lekhel to oversee emergency response efforts. The ministry has ordered continuous 24-hour repair work, aiming to restore service within a maximum of 48 hours. Authorities are coordinating human and material resources to ensure the pipeline is returned to service as quickly as possible.
