Takuya Kimura samples exotic pickles at Tokyo's Tsukiji outer market

Actor Takuya Kimura posted a new video on his official YouTube channel after walking through Tokyo's Tsukiji outer market. During the visit he stopped at the historic pickle shop Yoshikoya (吉岡屋本店). Kimura was served a pumpkin pickle made from a raw‑eating variety and a radish pickle called “Umeka,” which he praised for its strong plum flavor. He suggested eating the radish pickle with sliced squid and shiso leaves as a hand roll. The video also featured a light‑hearted reference to his role in the drama “Gran Maison Tokyo.” The market, located in central Tokyo, remains a bustling spot for food lovers despite the wholesale market’s relocation to Toyosu.
