Takuya Kimura stars in new Lotte Premium Ghana commercials

Actor Takuya Kimura is starring in a new series of television commercials for Lotte’s ‘Premium Ghana’ chocolate line, scheduled to begin broadcasting on September 15. The campaign features three distinct 15-second spots: ‘Rich Chocolat’, ‘Rich Raw Chocolate <Mellow Cacao>’, and ‘Tea Chocolat’.

The advertisements are designed as ‘stories in a single grain’, where Kimura’s expressions of tasting the chocolate are paired with narration by veteran actress Chieko Baisho. During filming, Kimura emphasized a commitment to authenticity, stating he aimed for a ‘truthful’ expression of the flavors.

In an interview regarding the campaign, Kimura described his professional experiences as ‘life itself’ rather than just intense experiences, noting the high level of motivation and collaboration he feels in his current work. Lotte plans to expand the Premium Ghana lineup throughout the autumn and winter with various new flavors.
