Tal Yinnon Dradik released by court after 38-day hunger strike

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court has ordered the immediate and unconditional release of Tal Yinnon Dradik following a 38-day hunger strike. Judge Amir Shaked granted the request made by Dradik's legal team, which included lawyers from the Honenu organization.

Dradik had been held in detention following an administrative order issued by Central Command Commander Aviv Blote. Defense attorneys argued that the detention was unlawful because the underlying administrative order was invalid and could not be legally implemented. The legal team noted that the state and previous judicial decisions had already signaled the invalidity of the order, yet the detention continued.

Following the ruling, representatives from Honenu criticized the use of administrative orders against settlers in Judea and Samaria, calling the incident a “black flag” on the commander. They called for an end to the practice of using such orders against this specific population.
