Talas Antique Market Attracts Vendors Nationwide

The Antika Pazarı in Talas, Kayseri, organized by mayor Mustafa Yalçın, has been held monthly for six years. It began in 2019 at Harman Mahallesi square and later moved to the larger Mevlana Mahallesi market area to accommodate growing participation.

The market now draws antique dealers from across Turkey, offering rugs, carpets, prayer mats, rosaries, clocks, coins, stamps and other nostalgic items. The next session is scheduled for Sunday, 9 August, and the mayor describes the event as a “bridge to the past” that preserves cultural heritage while supporting local commerce.
