Talas Innovation Center reaches TEKNOFEST 2026 finals; university winners announced

The Talas Innovation Center, representing Talas municipality, qualified for the TEKNOFEST 2026 finals in Şanlıurfa in three education levels – primary, middle and high school – becoming the only institution from Kayseri to do so. The teams will compete from 30 September to 4 October 2026. The centre, noted for previous national rankings and awards, was praised by Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, who said, "Teknoloji Üreten Nesiller, Daha Güçlü Yarınlar".

Separately, TÜBİTAK announced the final evaluation results of the 2242 University Students Research Project Competition, also part of TEKNOFEST. The competition covered nine thematic areas, including smart cities, health and aerospace, and selected award‑winning projects after an online final assessment. The initiative aims to encourage research among undergraduate students and support Turkey’s national technology movement.
