Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın prepares for international literary summit

Mustafa Yalçın, the Mayor of Talas, Kayseri, has conducted meetings in Istanbul to prepare for the 2nd International Turkish World Writers and Poets Meeting. During his visit, Yalçın met with officials from the Turkish Literature Foundation, including President Serhat Kabaklı and Editor-in-Chief Imdat Avşar, to discuss the scope and roadmap for the upcoming event.

The initiative aims to strengthen the shared cultural and literary heritage of the Turkish world. The inaugural meeting held last year brought together 54 writers and poets from 14 different countries for a four-day program featuring panels, poetry readings, cultural excursions, exhibitions, and concerts.

By strengthening cooperation with the Turkish Literature Foundation, Talas Municipality seeks to expand the impact of the second gathering, fostering connections between literary figures from various geographies to ensure the preservation of common language and cultural legacies for future generations.
