Talas Municipality textile workshop generates 5 million lira in savings

Talas Municipality has expanded its seven-year-old Hayır Çarşısı social initiative by establishing a Textile Products Production Workshop. Located in the Mevlana neighborhood, the workshop utilizes fabrics donated by philanthropists, which municipal staff then transform into clothing such as tracksuits and women's apparel.

This production model aims to provide clothing to those in need while maximizing the efficiency of public resources. By producing items in-house rather than purchasing them externally, the municipality reports an economic gain of approximately 5 million lira. Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın visited the facility to inspect the production lines and expressed gratitude to the donors and staff for creating a sustainable aid mechanism.
