Talas Municipality to open new animal shelter and natural life area
Talas Municipality in Kayseri is constructing a new animal shelter and natural life area in the Çatakdere neighborhood. Spanning 20,000 square meters, the facility is designed to provide care, treatment, and rehabilitation for stray animals in a safe and healthy environment.
The center is expected to open in early 2027. It will feature 625 square meters of enclosed construction space and is divided into eight main sections, including an administrative building, a natural life area, a playground, a medical waste area, a cemetery, and a cold storage unit.
Medical facilities within the center will include two examination rooms, one operating room, and five post-operative care rooms. This project follows the establishment of the Talas Pati House and Natural Life Area in the Zincidere neighborhood seven years ago.
