Turkish municipalities implement social and agricultural support programs

Various Turkish municipalities are implementing localized social and agricultural support programs. In Kocasinan, the municipality, in collaboration with the Provincial Health Directorate, has launched the ‘Bedridden Home Care and Health Service Project’. This initiative provides regular personal care to bedridden patients, including both young and elderly individuals, through health professionals working under the supervision of caregivers.

In Talas, local officials met with residents of the Çömlekçi neighborhood to discuss agricultural and livestock potential. Talas District Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Okay Sağnak, highlighted the area's strength in walnut and apiculture production. He noted that Talas Municipality provides significant support to producers in the region, acting as a vital resource in a district without a local chamber of agriculture.

Meanwhile, the Tarsus Municipal Council held its September meeting led by Mayor Ali Boltaç. Key agenda items included discussions on agricultural drone services for small producers, household solid waste tariffs, and the temporary allocation of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque for necessary repairs following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. The council also approved naming a reading room after martyr Fırat Yılmaz Çakıroğlu.
