Talat Aziz and family escape house fire in Mumbai

Singer Talat Aziz and his wife, Bina Aziz, survived a late-night fire at their residence in Juhu, Mumbai. The blaze reportedly began around 11 pm when an air conditioner in the dining area caught fire, despite not being switched on.

The fire quickly filled the home with dense black smoke. Bina Aziz became trapped on the upper floor after being unable to use the staircase. She sought refuge in an upstairs bathroom and signaled for help through a window. She was subsequently rescued using a ladder by her son and physical trainer Sakendra Singh, who carried her to safety on his shoulders.

Five individuals, including Talat Aziz, Bina Aziz, Shahin Aziz, Adnan Aziz, and Sakendra Singh, were treated for suffocation. While Adnan Aziz was briefly admitted to the ICU in critical condition, all individuals have since been stabilized and discharged. The Mumbai Fire Brigade controlled the blaze by approximately 11:58 pm.
