Talavera de la Reina PSOE proposes using Meta funds for youth housing

The Socialist Municipal Group (PSOE) has proposed that the Talavera de la Reina City Council allocate 1,089,554 euros toward improving housing access for young people. This funding is a result of a 10 percent land utilization benefit stemming from the reorganization of land where Meta will be installed.

Flora Bellón, the Socialist Group's deputy spokesperson, stated that the funds could be used for both rental and purchase schemes. Proposed strategies include rehabilitating municipal buildings into housing, changing the designated use of certain properties, or purchasing properties to offer affordable rentals. The group emphasized that this represents an opportunity to address a critical issue for local families and youth, helping them remain in the city.
