Talca inaugurates new municipal bicycle parking facility
The Municipality of Talca and the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) Maule have inaugurated a new municipal bicycle parking facility at the Talca Provisional Market. The initiative was launched in observance of World Car Free Day to promote sustainable mobility and encourage bicycle use as a primary mode of transport within the city.
The infrastructure was donated by CChC Maule as part of an existing collaboration agreement and commemorates the organization’s 40 years of presence in the Maule Region. Managed by the municipality, the facility will be free for public use, providing a secure space for cyclists in the city center. The project aligns with the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PMUS) and aims to revitalize the historic district by reducing automobile dependency.
