Talca women's entrepreneurship fair launches at Lider supermarket
The SernamEG program for women heads of households opened a new edition of the Feria de Emprendedoras Jefas de Hogar at the Lider Talca supermarket on Friday. The three‑day fair, running until Sunday, showcases handmade and locally produced goods from women entrepreneurs across six communes of the Maule region, including San Clemente, Pelarco, Pencahue, San Javier, Talca and Constitución. Organized in partnership with Walmart Chile, the event aims to strengthen the economic autonomy of participants by providing a public sales venue and promoting regional products to the community.
More than a market, the fair is part of a broader effort by the National Service for Women and Gender Equality to support female‑led micro‑businesses through strategic alliances and public‑private collaboration, helping women expand their customer base and grow their enterprises.
