Talcher-Puri MEMU train derails near Puri station in Odisha

A Talcher-Puri MEMU passenger train derailed near the Puri railway station in Odisha on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 1:22 pm as the train was entering platform number 3.

According to the East Coast Railway (ECoR), one wheel of the front trolley derailed. Because the train was moving at a slow speed, no major damage or injuries were reported. All passengers were safely deboarded, and the train was successfully rerailed by 3:32 pm.

Railway staff and personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) responded to the scene to manage the situation. The derailment caused minor disruptions to local train movements, but officials confirmed that no other trains were affected by the incident.
