Talking Heads to launch SiriusXM radio channel

The members of the band Talking Heads are reuniting for a special project with SiriusXM. The group will launch ‘Talking Heads Radio’, a temporary satellite radio channel dedicated to the band’s catalog and the solo projects of its members.

The channel is scheduled to air on satellite radio from October 1 to October 22, and will be available on the SiriusXM app through October 31. As part of the launch, all four members—David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison—will participate in a recorded conversation and Q&A session in New York on September 28, moderated by Este Haim.

Despite the reunion for this broadcast, there are currently no plans for the band to tour or record new music together. David Byrne has previously indicated that while the members have maintained cordiality following past tensions, his musical direction has moved in a different path.
