Patronato players attacked by fans in Paraná after defeat

Players from the Argentine football club Patronato were violently attacked by a group of their own supporters following a 3-0 defeat against Colón de Santa Fe in the Primera Nacional.

The incident occurred at the Presbítero Bartolomé Grella stadium in Paraná as the squad returned to collect their belongings. The attackers, identified as members of the club's organized supporter groups, targeted players with physical assaults. Captain Alan Sosa and defender Facundo Díaz were among the most severely affected, suffering various injuries including cuts and facial trauma.

Preliminary reports suggest the use of blunt objects, with some versions investigating the potential use of firearm stocks during the assault. The Entre Ríos Police Investigation Division intervened to manage the unrest and gather information. The violence follows a period of tension regarding unpaid wages for the months of May and June, which the team captain had previously addressed publicly.
