Tallinn named Europe's most relaxed city for travelers
Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, has been named the most relaxed European city for travelers in 2026, according to a study by Vape & Go. The ranking analyzed 66 European destinations based on factors including pedestrian accessibility, green spaces, air pollution, crime rates, and noise levels.
Tallinn secured first place with 92.8 points, largely due to its exceptionally low noise levels. Only 0.84 percent of its population is exposed to night noise from road and rail traffic. Other high-ranking cities include Zurich in second place and Tartu, Estonia, in third.
Croatia's Rijeka ranked seventh with 82.4 points, placing it among the top ten most relaxing cities. The study noted that Rijeka's ranking reflects its unique character as a blend of industrial and Mediterranean influences. Other cities in the top ten include Trondheim, Vilnius, The Hague, Geneva, and Ljubljana.
