Tallon Griekspoor wins Brussels ATP 250 title
Tallon Griekspoor secured his fourth career ATP title by winning the BNP Paribas Fortis European Open in Brussels. The 30-year-old Dutchman defeated Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff in a three-set final with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Griekspoor’s victory was marked by remarkable resilience, as it was his third consecutive comeback win during the tournament. He previously overcame deficits in the quarterfinals against Jiri Lehecka and in the semifinals against Francisco Cerúndolo.
The win marks Griekspoor’s first title since Mallorca in June and makes him the first Dutch player to win an indoor tour title since 2003. The match lasted two hours and two minutes, featuring a total of 36 aces between the two finalists.
