Moldova: Unidentified aircraft crashes and explodes near Talmaza
An explosion occurred in the outskirts of Talmaza, located in the Ștefan Vodă district of Moldova, following the crash of an unidentified aircraft. Preliminary reports from law enforcement indicate the impact took place approximately 3 kilometers from the locality, causing nearby vegetation to catch fire. No casualties have been reported.
The Moldovan Ministry of Defense stated that National Army surveillance systems detected an aerial object entering the country's airspace at 17:37, traveling in the direction of Cuciurgan–Tiraspol. In response to the detection, the central sector of Moldovan airspace was temporarily closed for 15 minutes. The object subsequently disappeared from monitoring systems in the Talmaza region. Technical-explosive specialists have been deployed to the site to identify the origin and nature of the aircraft.
