Brazilian surfer Ítalo Ferreira required five stitches in his nose following an accident with his surfboard during a training session in Fiji. The incident occurred during a stage of the World Surf League (WSL) circuit, where Ferreira currently leads the rankings.

Ferreira shared images of his injury on social media, describing the pain and the impact of the board hitting his nose. His team confirmed that while the athlete required medical attention, he remains stable and medicated. Despite the injury, Ferreira is confirmed to participate in the upcoming competition stage.
