Tam Bình Ward launches 39 community digital tech groups at Digital Citizen Day

On 1 August 2026, Tam Bình Ward in Ho Chi Minh City held the InnoTech Day 2026, themed “Technology creates – Launchpad to go far”. The event showcased the launch of 39 community digital technology groups, one for each of the ward’s 39 neighbourhoods, as part of the city’s push toward a digital government, economy and society.

Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Ward People’s Committee Nguyễn Minh Điền emphasized that the true measure of digital transformation is how well it serves citizens, noting improvements in online public services, electronic identification and cash‑free payments. Senior resident Phạm Thị Tuyết, 65, highlighted the value of the day for older citizens learning new digital skills. Participants also experienced AI, STEM activities and demonstrations from local firms such as the Electricity Company of Thu Đức, which presented solutions for smarter electricity service delivery.

The programme aligns with Party Resolution No 57 on digital transformation and aims to build a more responsive, technology‑enabled public administration for all residents of Tam Bình.
