TAM Group opens Air Charter Division to boost global cargo capacity

TAM Group has launched a dedicated Air Charter Division from its Americas headquarters in Miami. The new unit follows a pilot phase that began in September 2024 and completed 30 charter flights serving South American markets, notably Brazil and Chile. It offers flexible air cargo capacity for airlines, freight forwarders and logistics customers, handling shipments such as perishables, pharmaceuticals, industrial equipment, live animals and high‑value goods.

Fernando Carballal has been appointed Group Charter Director to lead the division’s expansion across the region and integrate the service into TAM Group’s broader global network, addressing rising demand for adaptable capacity amid supply‑chain disruptions, seasonal peaks and time‑critical project shipments.
