Tam Ky commemorates 120 years as a prefecture

A ceremony was held to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Tam Ky as a prefecture (Phủ lỵ), marking its historical journey from 1906 to 2026. The event highlighted the region's evolution from a small administrative center to a strategic socio-economic and cultural hub.

Historically, the area underwent various administrative changes, transitioning from the Tran dynasty's Hoa Chau to the Le dynasty's Ha Dong district, before being officially elevated to Tam Ky Prefecture by King Thanh Thai in 1906.

In its current development phase, Tam Ky aims to leverage science, technology, and digital transformation to drive sustainable economic growth. Future goals include building a digital government and society, enhancing modern infrastructure, and providing high-quality online public services to support citizens and businesses.
