Tam Tam wins 2026 Tobago Carnival Soca Titans title

Artist Tam Tam has been crowned the 2026 Tobago Carnival Soca Titan following a performance of “Follow Me” at Market Square in Scarborough. He secured the $75,000 first prize by a single point, ending the two-year reign of runner-up Verrse.

Tam Tam, who cited his Grenadian heritage and a personal connection to the Jab Jab tradition, expressed that his victory was the result of significant preparation following a third-place finish in 2025. The event featured performances from ten finalists, including third-place finisher Kedane O’Connor.

In addition to the local title, the victory grants Tam Tam automatic qualification for the semifinals of the 2027 International Soca Monarch competition. Zorisha Hackett, Tobago’s Secretary of Tourism, Antiquities and Creative Industries, announced that a new agreement provides the Soca Titans winner a guaranteed path to the international stage, aiming to elevate Tobago’s musical talent.
