Tamannaah Bhatia discusses ‘The Vvaan’ and Bihar’s Van Devi Temple

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has shared her emotional experience filming a Chhath Puja sequence for the upcoming fantasy-folklore film ‘The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest’. During a trailer launch, Bhatia described feeling like a ‘vessel’ for emotions while portraying the traditional festival, noting the spiritual depth of the rigorous 36-hour fast and the connection to the sun.

The film’s setting has drawn attention to the Van Devi Temple, a 400-year-old shrine located near Bihta in Bihar, approximately 35 km west of Patna. The modest forest shrine, which lacks conventional idols and instead features a sacred stone representation known as a pind, is central to local folklore. Residents believe the goddess Van Devi protects the forest and its inhabitants, and many avoid entering the wooded area after sunset due to local legends.
