Tamara Ecclestone victim of £25 million jewelry theft in London

Tamara Ecclestone, daughter of former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, was the victim of a major burglary at her luxury villa in Kensington, London. During a family holiday in Lapland in December 2019, thieves entered the property via the garden and accessed approximately 57 locked rooms.

The burglars stole an estimated 450 items, including diamonds, precious stones, luxury watches, and cash, with a total value of approximately £25 million (around €29 million). Tamara Ecclestone's husband, Jay Rutland, noted that the loss was particularly significant because many items were sentimental gifts from family members.

Investigations revealed that the high-value jewelry and watches were not covered by insurance. Following a large-scale investigation, three Italian nationals—Jugoslav Jovanović, Alessandro Maltese, and Alessandro Donati—were convicted in connection with the crime.
