Tamara Klink asks readers to stop buying bestseller ‘Bom Dia, Inverno’
Brazilian writer and sailor Tamara Klink posted a video urging the public not to purchase her recent bestseller, Bom Dia, Inverno. The book, published by Companhia das Letras, was ranked third among Amazon Brazil’s best‑sellers, behind Franz Kafka’s A Metamorfose and Graciliano Ramos’s Vidas Secas.
Klink cited environmental concerns, saying the paper and energy used to produce each copy should be maximized by lending or donating the book. She thanked readers who had bought it and encouraged people to share locations of libraries that do not yet hold the title. Bom Dia, Inverno is a memoir of her eight‑month solo voyage in a sailboat across the frozen Arctic waters of Greenland, released in May 2024.
