Tamara Klink to discuss solo Atlantic crossing in Brasília

Sailor Tamara Klink will participate in a lecture titled “Personal Crossings: Challenges, Courage, and What I Learned Alone in the Icy Sea” in Brasília on December 2. The event, part of the Metrópoles Talks series, will focus on psychological resilience, decision-making under uncertainty, and overcoming fear.

The discussion is inspired by Klink’s 2023 book, “Nós: o Atlântico em solitário,” which chronicles her 2021 solo voyage from Lorient, France, to Paraty, Brazil. During the three-month, 5,000-nautical-mile journey, Klink became the youngest Latin American to cross the Atlantic alone. Her book details the emotional and physical challenges of the expedition, including her reliance on a diary and weather consultations with a mentor.
