Tamara Kotevska wins Green Oscar for documentary film

Macedonian filmmaker Tamara Kotevska has won the prestigious Green Oscar (Panda Award) for Best Direction and Production at the Wildscreen Awards in the United Kingdom. The award was granted for her documentary, ‘The Tale of Silyan’ (Prikaznata za Siljan), produced for National Geographic Documentary Films.

Kotevska becomes the first winner from Macedonia and the surrounding region to receive this recognition. The Green Oscars are among the highest honors in documentary filmmaking, previously awarded to figures such as Sir David Attenborough. Her work is noted for exploring the complex relationship between humanity and the environment.
