Tamaulipas advances nursing research with statewide seminar

The state of Tamaulipas held the second edition of the Nursing Research Seminar, titled “Research as a Pillar for Excellence of Care,” at the Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad in Ciudad Victoria. The event was led by Irma Barragán Alvarado, director general of Nursing, and attended by Health Secretary Ricardo Gerardo Guerrero Morales, with support from Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya.

Organizers reported that Tamaulipas’ nursing research portfolio now includes six peer‑reviewed articles, 13 oral communications, 20 conference presentations, 35 book chapters and 96 scientific posters. Presentations covered topics such as patient perceptions of nursing care, central‑venous catheter‑related infections, and future directions for nursing prescription in Spain and Europe. Officials highlighted that the seminar aims to strengthen evidence‑based practice, improve hospital care quality, and foster ongoing research engagement among nursing professionals.
